The NEW Test Discussion Board is up on the main website: www.austinjeepexclusive.org .
I am starting to create/duplicate all the catagories and boards. This disscussion board would be owned by our own club, not borrowed from pro-boards. I think it seems to be pretty similar, but it will take a bit of doing to get it TOTALLY ready to use. I need to figure out the features and make certain sections private so only paid members can see it, etc. Just like the other board. You can start posting there to test it out and let me know what you think, though.
Again -- warning -- right now it it pretty open for use, NOT locked down. Please post wisely.
thanks, Tanya Phillips AJE Webmaster

Tanya, most forum software comes with a feature to import from other forums. You might want to try that before starting to copy everything over manually. At least the user database should be able to be copied over.

Thanks for the info. I went and looked ALL over for something that looks like I can export or import from this forum and I can't see anything. Doesn't mean it's not there, I just can't find it. I might be able to ask the forum administrators for the PROBOARDS site if they have a way to download it to me.

I think if you get the same structure for the catagories and boards that's good enough. You don't need to move all of the old posts over. There's probably a few we'd like to forget see my signature line for an example
